Maryna Pilkiw, Ph. D.
We are thrilled to announce that Maryna has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis! Her research delved into the critical differences in coding schemes between the lateral entorhinal cortex and medial prefrontal cortex, utilizing a non-spatial associative learning paradigm in rats as a model. This ambitious project resulted in the publication of two empirical papers (eLife, 2017; Journal of Neuroscience, 2022) and a comprehensive review paper (Nature Reviews Neuroscience, 2018).
A special thank you goes out to Dr. Kei M. Igarashi for his insightful questions as an external appraiser. We would also like to thank the other committee members: Drs. Paul Frankland, Junchul Kim, Laura Corbit, and Jiannis Taxidis.
Congratulations, Maryna, on this outstanding achievement!
